New at this end, the anniversary edition of Blade Runner and a book called Lili Marlene about the cabaret scene in Berlin in the 1930's especially, and the song made famous by Lale Andersen. I am a big fan of the Rainer Fassbinder movie starring Hanna Schygula and Giancarlo Gianninni.
I also picked up a complete set (looks like) of Time-Life's encyclopedia of photography.
What's on your reading list?
Re: What's on your reading list?
I haven't finished "Teardown", but I did read "109 East Palace" which is based a memoir of Los Alamos and the Manhattan Project in New Mexico.
I also picked up a memoir called "Dead On Time" by Jean Claude Guiet who was a junior OSS operative in WW2. Pretty good! Especially interesting were the many notes about parachute training and the author even mentions the air flow when jumping from a Lockheed Hudson! I previously saw this in Nevil Shute's novel "Most Secret" which was held back from publication until the war was over.
