(Sunday June 19) I haven't read this one yet: "Three dead in wind-driven fire in Queens, officials say".. It's a sub-headline in the New York Times.
I don't think there's any denying the strange weather... I think I first noticed the milder winters around 1985.
The corollary here... may that our 'current' experience is a small sampling; the planet has had temperature peaks and lows for millennia.
I could be wrong.

** Ontario Election **
In case you didn't know an election was held recently in the Canadian province of Ontario. CBC Radio had a good rundown on their 'Sunday Magazine' program this (June 5) morning - https://www.cbc.ca/radio/sunday/the-sun ... -1.6476569
Not much discussion of COVID of recent (the above link touched on waste water analysis) but health care is definitely on the agenda. South of the border however NEW YORK STATE was... said to be a hotspot for infections. Hard to decide who to believe! Nevertheless there was a mention of stocking up on N95 masks ahead of any summer wildfires.
A dear friend of ours succumbed to this very issue in Los Angeles in January 2020.

An online Google ad apparently quotes one of Accenture's group leaders as saying that the Metaverse "will be bigger than the digital transformation". Welcome to Hype City, heh heh.
Facebook/Meta woes continued in February with billion-dollar losses, heh. Good for 'em! Microsoft, Apple, Google etc. are said to be worth trillions - https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/16/opin ... arket.html
You have to wonder how much the invasion of Ukraine is costing the Facebookers. This much having been said a big headline over the weekend suggested that FB may have peaked, supplanted by TikTok.
